Pastor Mary Washington, evangelist, singer, songwriter also known as the “Song Bird of the South” has been singing since the age of five years old. She was born in Texarkana, Texas. Pastor Mary has sung in many venues across the country and in Germany. She has used her vocal talents with the Tennessee Mass Choir under the direction of Fannie Clark. She was a member of the Travelettes, which caused her to travel extensively through out Dallas Texas and surrounding areas. While in Germany, Pastor Mary had the opportunity to sing to the Military troops. Pastor Mary has been on stage with many artist including Tressa Thomas from the movie “Five Heart Beats” and Nichelle Nicholes from Star Trek the next Generation. She has opened for Dorothy Moore and Shirley Caesar. Her career has caused her to sing with  many others. Pastor Mary has lead praise and worship at Full Gospel Tabernacle where Al Green is pastor.

 

Pastor Mary is currently working on her solo project. She accredits God for all that she is and does. Her extraordinary vocal talent provides the perfect complement to any praise and worship service. Pastor Mary dedicates her life to winning souls for Jesus Christ through the preaching of the gospel and her powerful gift of singing.  She is the mother of two daughters, Erica and Laveda.
